I have just come back from my first author visit to a secondary school to talk to the students about Zero Point Girl.
“Rob was one of the most enthusiastic, eloquent and inspiring authors that has ever visited ICC. Students were really engaged and asked very insightful questions that Rob answered with gusto…. Your talk was really fascinating, and the students were very intrigued with the idea of the blurred lines between fiction and really scientific discoveries. “ (From the school librarians)
It was amazing being at Ivybridge Community College today. Out of the 60 year seven and eight students that I spoke with in the library, 40 of them bought the book! 🤯
I’m really excited to hear what they think about my first novel for young adults. I talked about how the story came to me in a magical download in Starbucks, about the journey of writing the screenplay and then I read them the prologue.
I’m really looking forward to visiting all of the secondary schools in Devon now! It’s such a pleasure to answer the questions from the students and to hopefully inspire them to write down their own stories. I reminded them that ‘you can’t fail an experiment!’ Just give things a go and learn…
If you would like a copy of Zero Point Girl, please look on Amazon or on my website for a signed copy.
